In the midst of the green hills of the Marche, in the community of Pergola, the Metzler Meyer family has renovated an old Borgo, a traditional little hamlet of stone buildings. The therefore created holiday destination „Agriturismo Alla Vecchia Quercia“ lies at the foot of Mount Catria and is surrounded by pastureland, fields and deciduous forest – the best conditions for a relaxing, idyllic vacation.
The agriturismo includes abiological farm, which covers about 20 hectares. Of these, 6 hectares are olives and the rest is pasture and arable land. There are a few fruit trees, a vegetable garden and a bee meadow.
Our approximately 1400 olive trees are located partly on the farm, in San Lorenzo di Campo and also in Cartoceto di Fano.
Various animals such as pigs, sheep, rabbits and poultry live on our farm. As well as of course the horses, dogs and cats. All animals are in the immediate vicinity and can be visited. Not to be forgotten are our bees, which do high-quality work and produce a great honey.
We are a Swiss family, who in 1999 found this little paradise and emigrated to the Marche. Corinne and Roland have restored this Borgo together with the parents / parents-in-law Heidy and Gerry.
